Lapis lazuli is a semiprecious stone valued for its deep blue color. With the beauty of clear mountain lake reflecting the heavens, the lapis in this set is blue with carved silver intersperced along the necklace. Persian legend says that the heavens owed their blue color to a massive slab of Lapis upon which the earth rested.
